Also my Postgres-version is 9.1 and Geoserver 2.5.4. But for sure at least
Geoserver 2.3.1 works.

I think you should update both Posgresql and Postgis.

Hello Hakala,

Thank you for being so helpful.

Actually, the postgis extension is within the extensions.
This is my configuration: Windows7 , Geoserver 2.1, Postgresql 8.4 and Postgis
1.5.

I uploaded the shapefile using' Postgis Shapefile and DBF Loader'.
While importing the shapefile into a table. I set SRID as EPSG 4326.
After that, I visualised it using QGis , it is displayed as a layer.

The problem still remains with publishing the postgis table into Geoserver.
At the end of the error message , it says :

ERROR" Caused by: java.io.IOException: Error occured calculating bounds at
org.geotools.jdbc.JDBCDataStore.getBounds(JDBCDataStore.java:1136) at
org.geotools.jdbc.JDBCFeatureSource.getBoundsInternal(JDBCFeatureSource.java:469??)..Caused

Sorry, I did not notice your reply.

You also have to set SRS Handling to Force declared.

Other advice you have got personally

Thank you Oiva for you reply.

However i set SRC of data as EPSG:4326 . And then click on
'Compute from Native bounds' ,no results . And ' Compute from data ' shows
this error :

I don't know if i need to configure something.

Hi

You have to set Declared SRS. Click Find button to find if you don't remember,
or just type EPSG:nnnn to the Declared SRS-box where nnnn is the right number.
After that "Compute..." will work.

Good luck!

-The native CRS box is empty .
-As for the bounding boxes :
*when i click ' Compute from data ' it shows an error.
*when i click 'Compute from Native bounds' , nothing shows.
