All the XML files are using ids to link to each other, when you take
a workspace from one server and move it to another, you'll get
dangling references to global styles and other configuration bits
and things will be hardly working, and somehow difficult to fix by hand.
If your workspace contains only local styles, you might have a chance
of that working (by accident, not by design), but local workspace
styles have been playing badly with integrated tile caching until 2.7.x,
so if you have a older version, that's not a solution either.
