When I output a shapeFile using the Geoserver web portal "Layer Preview" capability I see that I can output my WFS data as shapeFile. My original data in my postgres database has a time-stamp for each record in my table. This time-stamp looks like this: 2015-08-25T05:13:22.079+00. When I look at the .df file in the output shapeFile collection, it looks like the "Day" value of the time-stamp was output, but the "Time" value of the time-stamp was dropped.
