Hallo, we are serving small polygon geometries (squares) stored in a PostGIS using Geoserver. we want to deliver the polygon geometry on WFS requests and on getfeatureInfo. This works as expected. Because we want the polygons to be visualized as points in our WebGIS application, we are using a point styling in SLD to be used with the polygon geometry. Geoserver seems to handle this inconsistency -> the polygons are rendered as points in higher zoomlevels. But if we zoom out the Features disappear.
Funny: if we force the Geometry to be point (setting in SQL View defintion of the Layer) the features are always rendered (but WFS or getFeatureInfo deliver a point-geometry instead of the Polygon (even the SQL view definition itself does not do any geometry conversions) Why do the features disappear when using a point renderrule on a polygon (only) on lower zoomlevels? I'd expect that the polygons using a point style to be rendered always or never. Any hint? In E-Mail-Clients ohne S/MIME Konfiguration oder PGP-Erweiterung erscheinen die Dateien als Anhang und können ignoriert werden.
