Hi Andrea, Ralph,
Problem solved! The file: imageio-ext-gdal-bindings-1.9.2.jar is NOT in
the GDAL plugin zip file ( geoserver-2.11.0-gdal-plugin.zip ).
After copying this file from an earlier versions, GeoServer starts
succesfull.
