Actually, there is no difference. When downloading the GeoServer
gdal-plugin.zip, you are already getting the required imageio-ext-1.1.X
jars.
The imageio-ext- jars are useful for download if you need to get them with
a single shot or if you need to include them into some package and you are
not using maven for dependency retrieval.
