Server facts:
The GeoServer instance is running version 2.14.1.
JVM Version Oracle Corporation: 1.8.0_172 (Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server
VM)
OS version: CentOS Linux release 7.6.1810

Problem:
The GeoServer contains 113 Layers and 114 Stores in 15 Workspaces.

When changing details in some of the layers, fe the Abstract field, the
information is not displayed anymore after a "Server Status" "Configuration and
Catalog" reload.
After a Reload the information is stored in the coverage.xml but not displayed
on the web GUI.

This scenario is valid for some of the layers, others are working fine.

Anybody familiar with this issue?
I’m looking for a solution but running out of options.

Kind regards,

Wilco Kakkenberg
