Hi, I haven't experienced that behavior. The driver is not part of the GeoServer source code, you should probably ask on the Oracle support forums. Given the behavior you're seeing, it reminds me of some sort of "busy wait" state, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Busy_waiting
