This is true. The Oracle plugin for Geoserver 2.19.2 contains the
ojdbc8-19.10.0.0.jar

Hi Michael,

I think you no longer need to supply the jdbc.jar in recent versions of
GeoServer.

See documentation commit
https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/commit/4c2c024a312f99cdb3c9d7cd4b9cbb7def94b277<https://aus01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fgeoserver%2Fgeoserver%2Fcommit%2F4c2c024a312f99cdb3c9d7cd4b9cbb7def94b277&data=04%7C01%7Cgraham.humphries%40stategrowth.tas.gov.au%7C3b75bcc48f15452efb4e08d95ae08f68%7C64ebab8accf44b5ca2d32b4e972d96b2%7C0%7C0%7C637640742801098879%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=ANrja9a%2FvJAGm3aXlZqGBOxggI23H%2F8TKuzaVjVbLXA%3D&reserved=0>

Certainly this is true for SQL server.

If any of your data sets are public facing I am very interested.

Cheers.

Hi GeoServer community

We're building our GeoServer web archive again, this time to be used with
Oracle. What is the best ojdbc jar version to be using? We have ojdbc6, but
were wondering whether we should use a newer version

Our Oracle instance will be in the AWS cloud, so likely one of the more recent
Oracle DB versions.

Thanks
