The GeoServer 2.20.2 release <http://geoserver.org/release/2.20.2/> is ready and is a recommended update, see release announcement <http://geoserver.org/announcements/2022/01/24/geoserver-2-20-2-released.html> for details.
This is a stable release and recommended for production systems. The GeoServer 2.19.x series has also reached the end of its maintenance period so now is the perfect time to upgrade. Out of abundance of caution this release changed to a log4j1 library that does not include any remote appenders (or indeed any socket communication). Thanks to Jody Garnett (GeoCat) for making this release. Big thanks to Juan Luis RodrÃguez (GeoCat) for troubleshooting build.geoserver.org. Also thanks to Brad Hards and Alex Gacon for their assistance testing this release. For the complete story check out the announcement <http://geoserver.org/announcements/2022/01/24/geoserver-2-20-2-released.html> and release notes <https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/releases/tag/2.20.2>. -- Jody Garnett
