Hi,
We discovered recently that when using legend_options=hideEmptyRules:true
during GetLegendGraphic WMS requests, the memory used to process the request is
never released. We can see the problem on our JavaMelody used physical memory
monitoring:

We also see in logs the following error each time we call the GetLegendGraphic
request with mentioned parameter: ERROR [geotools.map] - Call MapContent
dispose() to prevent memory leaks
When we remove this hideEmptyRules parameter or change it to
hideEmptyRules:false the problem disappear.
Is this problem already known?
We are using Geoserver version 2.23.1 on Linux instance (AWS)
JVM version: Eclipse Adoptium: 11.0.18 (OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM)
