Just a heads up that I went and did "suggestion 2" on my own, figuring
September 15th as the 2.1-M1 cut date from the folder age in the
refractions maven repo. $ svn update -r {2006-09-15}
With just the one fix in FilterVisitor.java to the 2.1-M1 code, I cut a
local release of 2.1-M1, made the appropriate changes in geotools
(IsNotEqualToImpl.java, FilterVisitorFilterWrapper.java) and now
everything works swimmingly. <PropertyIsNotEqualTo> works as expected.
If you're not up for a big re-release and you're content with the 2.1-M1
jars otherwise (and their permanent relationship to 2.3.x?) I can post
the modified geoapi-nogenerics-2.1-M1.jar, along with the patch to the
appropriate revision, if its of any use to you.
Of course, unless said modified jar file gets put into the maven repo,
the fix can't be applied to 2.3.x, so if this is all too much work I can
just do my thing quietly and not bug anyone!
