Whilst source for inspiration, note that this is by no means a general solution, that is, it'll work only for JNDI and for the specific connection pool library used by their web container. Each pool library needs a different technique for unwrapping the native connection (unless you're working on java 6 with a jdbc 4 compliant driver, but that's not our case, ain't it?)
