I am looking for ways to test JNDI functionality in GeoTools ... the JNDI class is supposed to serve up an InitialContext - but it does not appear to work (when you try to use the class to bind anything it starts to complain).
Switching to a directory based context would involve setting up temp files and so on. One thing I found was "simple-jndi" which looks to be explicitly aimed at testing ....
