2.4.0 is the first release in which indexed shapefile support is being provided
as part of a core plugin( Previously it was in an optional extention). I have
run into a problem; namely the Maps used for parameters are not set up
correctly.
We really would like to use:
Map.put("url", file.toURI().toURL() )
And have the DataStoreFinder figure out the best implementation for the job,
since shapefile is the most accessible example of the problem it is sad when it
does not function as advertised.
Warning:
- This bug fix may break some code that made use of the indexed shapefile
experiment.
