Hi, I'm starting a new project that involves interpolation in geotools. Is anyone else interested in interpolation features?
I've had a look at Jan Jezek's transformation/gridding work (http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOTOOLS/New+Transformation+Algorithms+for+GeoTools+and+uDig). Whilst it's a good start, it's not optimised for interpolation. I'm still very new to geotools so I hope someone else can offer some guidance so it is implemented properly. I want to start with Inverse Distance Weightings (IDW) and then add more interpolation algorithms in future.
