Could you send us the CRS in WKT format (a plain System.out.println(crs))
please? The print statement could be temporarily added straight in the renderer
code just before the exception occurs (a println of the envelope could be useful
too).
I have done extensive hacking in metadata and referencing lately. Mostly Java 5
parameterized types applications, so in theory the behavior should not change
much. However it may have changed a bit since this work revealed a few mismatchs
there and there.
