I am mostly focused on DuplicatorFilterVisitor and DuplicatorStyleVisitor both of which were only ever half implemented (making use of clone() often as not). Their replacement has been available for a while (DuplicatorFilterVisitor and DuplicatorStyleVisitor respectively).
Martin it seems geotools fell a bit behind your latest geoapi hacking fixes; I added a view getAreaOfValidity methods were needed to keep things going.
