Hi,
lately I've spotted a certain hbullen commit on the mysql datastore
module. Jody tells me he has got access to udig svn and that he
works for Refractions.

Yet, this does not entitles him to commit stuff to gt2 mysql module
at will. Yes, the datastore is unmaintained (besides some random
fixes that I commit from time to time to keep the thing alive)
and we'd definitely enjoy someone interested in working on it.

But this does not mean anyone can commit on it. It does not mean
that (like today) he can break the build at will with a compile error.

So, as one of the mysql module "maintainrs" (more "keep alive man"
really) I'm demanding that either of the following happens:
- hbullen present himself to the gt2 community, reads and follows
the developer guide (in particular, add unit tests for new
functionality, make sure the build is not broken as a result of
commits) and asks for commit rights on the mysql datastore
(in a burst of goodwill I'll consider the current commits as
"patches" that I reviewed and accepted)
- hbullen svn commit rights get removed

Sorry to ask for strong measures, I tried to take it on the
"let's peacefull speak" the first time he committed stuff
and it did not work. We need a mysql datastore maintainer
all right, but he has to be one that understand what it
means to work as a group and that open source has certain
values that have to be respected.

Cheers
Andrea
