Cleanup filter usage in gt-xml

This module is a heavy user of the old filter interfaces, as well as the
associated visitors.
In particular, FilterEncodingPreprocessor, FilterOpsComplexTypes and
FilterSchema use the old FilterFactory and have a truckload of other references
to old filters, and also use the old filter visitor interfaces.
What shall we do with this one? By closing the project in Eclipse I could
locate the following modules still having a reference to it:
- gt-directory (unsupported)
- gt-example (demo)
- gt-gml (unsupported)
- gt-introduction (demo)
- gt-mappane (unsupported)
- gt-mappane-use (unsupported)
- gt-repository (unsupported)
- gt-validation (extension)
- gt-wfs (plugin)
- gt-widgets-swing-pending (unsupported)
- gt-wms (plugin)
