Hum, this failure is not related to my commit, unless the temporal module has anything to do with the renderer and the way it deals with optimizations of multiple feature type style in a single Style object. I can reproduce the failure on my pc btw. I know some time ago I suggested to remove the temporal module from the build, but it turns out one of the xml parsing modules, the wcs one, uses one or two classes out of it. A less radical way to solve the build issue seems to remove the last four lines in that test, which is what I'd suggest we do, if you are ok with this.
