Afaik there is a way to make test disabling trigger only on java6,
which is, using a profile with a jdk detection as its activation
rule.

Also, afaik there is just one test failing, and it's in
epsg-hsql (at least, it's the only failure I have on my
Ubuntu 64bit box with Sun java 6).
Why were referencing tests disabled at all?
