That would be a bit of a bother for uDig trunk that likes to download the
latest snapshot in order to stay on top of changes. uDig trunk could switch
to the opengeo repo I guess.
I am happy either way; just let me know so I can plan accordingly.

The "developer" page on our wiki tries to list various websites and
repositories and is getting out of date (I was not aware of an opengeo
repository for example).
