Ideally, I would like to find a maintainer for each module, and at least an expression of interest for unsupported modules by someone (as in, "yeah, I might be maintaining that stuff in six months from now"). Whatever is not covered, I would suggest to just remove from the codebase, so that we get a leaner one. Removed modules are not deleted from the face of history anyways, they will still be part of the svn history and if anyone is interested in picking them up, well, it should be easy to just check them out from a branch. And oh, I would suggest to make the cleanups/module removals on trunk only, but I can be persuaded otherwise.
