If you look at the patch I've sent to Jody's mail in the same thread
you'll the the property has to percolate down to the attributes comparison.

So I still can do it, but I'll have to make public methods equals
and equalsExact that do call to a hidden shared method implementing
the equality.

I can do that, and it would in fact make for a nicer public API
