Got it; we may need to offer a bit more fine grain control over time; but if 
you can use it as is more the better.

Aside: I did check where the Font size correction code occurs in uDig; and the 
result is crazy. There is a Graphics2D wrapper that intercepts setFont requests 
and calls through with the adjusted size!
