Summing up the discussion on the ml:
- directory data store does not allow to set shapefile params (often necessary
when playing with non western languages)
- directory data store does not allow shapefile renderer machinery to engage
- is not supported
However the unit testing coverage as measured in the current directory store is
62%, so good enough
Plan:
- move it to library/data and make it a configurable class
- have shapefile implement its own directory store with all the params exposed
- allow others to do the same
- have the shapefile directory store pick up the old directory store params to
ensure backwards compatibility
