Great to hear this is going well! The entire process of getting commit
access for a new module is outlined in the developer guide:

But basically there are two steps to getting commit access:
1. get an osgeo userid
2. sign the geotools contributor agreement
Let me know what your osgeo user id is and i will add you to the commiter
group. The contributor agreement you can find here:

I think the name "georest" for the module makes sense. You can always change
it later if you see fit.
