Hi all,
last December Christmas got to us and we failed to release the
first beta and declare the feature freeze, which were supposed
to happen on December 21th.
All in all it was not such a bad thing, we managed to get quite
a bit new things in during January, maybe we can consider changing
the time boxed release model to only have one beta, and thus have
one more month of open development (actually, I believe there
is some hole/mistake in the original proposal about the timings,
but did not have the time to see where).
Anyways, wondering, since we are releasing the beta today,
and we are going to have the first RC in one month.. shall we
branch off a new stable series as we do the beta?

Btw, since nobody showed up to do the monthly release of the
stable series, I'll do it, while Jody does first beta release from
master.
