Hello Devs,
in uDig we have an ticked [1] that featuretype names are take from filename
from the last Slash till the first point occurrence.
For most of the files this is fine but some file haven version numbers or
something else in the name, like
my_filename.whatever.v1.5.shp
The expectation is to get
my_filename.whatever.v1.5 from ShapeFile. getTypeName()
but the return value is my_filename
Question: Are there some limitations having dots in the feature type name?
Would you agree that is a bug?
In this case I would like create a ticket in GeoTools and link it to the
ticked mentioned down below.
