| Currently the mosaic uses its global raster to world transformation in order to figure out where to place the images. Thus, asking for a granule that's very far from the origin generates an output that has an origin in raster space with very high values, and then eventual oversampling steps make things work making JAI work with ordinates in the millions or more. That in turn causes numerical instabilities in some JAI algorithms, causing outputs that jump abruptly when panned, or change wildly across zoom levels. |
