Hi all, I have to develop a wms/wfs (I don't now very well the differences between wms and wfs) desktop for a cooperative. The program have to connect to a server and authenticate itself. Then he can retrieves the maps for view them or edit them (he can edit only some maps, depending on the map permissions. In fact some maps are editable by certains users, some other maps by other users). The problem is that I don't know wms/wfs specifications and I don't know much about geotools. How can I proceed ? Can you tell me what documentation I have to read or what I have to do ?
