exactly, then Jesse fixed the issue. If you use 2.4m3, which should be 
released in a few days, the

Yes, create a style with multiple rules, and each one can be linked to a 
certain scale denominator range.

I don't have a plotter, so I really never tried. I'm more in web 
mapping, so no A0 and no paper
at all :)
You'll have to learn that by trial and error, and if you do, it would be 
very kind of you to
share with us your experiences. For the few things I remember about java 
printing, java
will create an enourmous image and then send it to the printer in raster 
format. Better
try out disabling antialiasing and transparencies and use the last 
version of java (java 6)
to check if things got any better since last time I tried (a few years ago).
