I have a question that maybe is a little silly but, does anyone know how the
method getArea()

com.vividsolutions.jts.geom.Geometry woks?
Does it make any calculations or just check any field of a geometry??I mean,
if I simplify a geometry using for example TopologyPreservingSimplifier,
will its area change?
