Currently, there is only one all purpose renderer. There is at least one
specific renderer used for shapefiles by uDig and there are older
renderers going back over the years. Oh, and there are some experimental
renderers using OpenGL and other 3D libraries if you want to play with
neat ideas. All depends what you want to do and how you want to do it.
