This is probably wandering off topic a bit, but your example makes me
think it could be nice to have a way of grouping map layers for hiding
and showing.

Perhaps there could be a MapLayerGroup class that contains an array of
layers and can listen for layer events.  When any of its layers is
shown/hidden the group class sets the rest of the layers to the same
state.

Or does anyone do this in some other way already ?
