Hi Kedar, The problem is a memory-expensive bug work-around in the GridCoverageRenderer class. There is a comment in the source file about this. However you should be able to get the app to run with the earthlights image by specifying a larger amount of heap space on the command line or via your IDE's project properties. For example, -Xmx512m
