Hi Rainer, As far as i know it's not a format that is supported directly by GeoTools.
There is a DXF import function in JGrass that you might want to look at. Some info is here... http://jgrasstechtips.blogspot.com/2009/10/dxf-and-dwg-in-jgrass.html Other than that, a bit of googling will find some open source Java CAD libraries and DXF to shapefile converters. Hopefully, someone else here might have a better suggestion.
