Hi Christian,

One further question,  I take it the server could be configured to import
vector data for say a road network but then at the client request return
area's of this data in say gif tiles where the background is transparent. So
for instance the client could request satellite map raster tiles and then
request road network tiles and display these on top of the map tiles.
