Unfortunately spatialite is not very well supported in geotools. Although i
have had it working. But in recent versions of it and the sqlite jdbc driver
i had problems, so more or less gave up.
The best reference for how to use would probably just be the test cases
found here:
http://svn.osgeo.org/geotools/trunk/modules/plugin/jdbc/jdbc-spatialite/
But again be warned it is in an experimental state.
