well I tried the CSV2SHP example and I get the same exception, still the output shapefile has the geometries and attributes correctly written into it. but I am stuck with the task of creating a huge collection of polygon features, then visualizing them, writing them to shapefile and also putting them into oracle,. and havent had much luck with that yet.
