Actually, one more thing. The use case you're talking about, cartographic post
processing over SVG data, is, as far as I know, not covered/used by any of
the current developers.

It would be nice if you could join the GeoTools team and help out keeping
tabs on this kind of usage, bringing a different perspective into the mix
(for example, my main use case is high performance vector rendering
towards png/jpeg images, so naturally the rendering subsystem is biased
towards it)
