Hello Robert, If the image is parallel to the lat-lon grid (ie. no rotation) the world file is simply:
width in degrees / width in pixels 0.0 0.0 - ( height in degrees / height in pixels ) upper left pixel centre X-ordinate upper left pixel centre Y-ordinate But perhaps I don't understand your question properly ?
