If you would like a link on our website - there is a "cost" :-) I ask for one
"welcome" page for prospective developers from your project to welcoming them
to GeoTools.
You can see along the bottom of this page what I am talking about:

Geomajas (http://docs.geotools.org/latest/userguide/welcome/geomajas.html)
GeoServer (http://docs.geotools.org/latest/userguide/welcome/geoserver.html)
uDig (http://docs.geotools.org/latest/userguide/welcome/udig.html)
Each one of those links has an example of what I am talking about.
As for providing the information the "welcome" pages are stored in the geotools
"docs" folder; you can issue a normal JIRA+patch with the information you would
like presented to your developers.
