I got this from Andrea Aime as response on an other topic some time ago. I
cannot find it anymore in the archive.
I should avoid FeatureCollection because it is build in memory. I cannot close
FeatureIterator because I don't use it explicitly (or maybe I don't know how to
do this).

Next question what do you mean by memory leakage? If it is a thing I want to
know about it.
As long as the featureIterators are closed we should not leak connections to
oracle.
And nobody should be leaking memory.
