Hi, I saw several times rendering of wind flow done in geoserver
through geotools.
I think I saw it on the geo-solutions blog, but can't find it again.

Anyways, I wanted to ask a couple of questions.
I would like to try to render water flowdirections rasters that exact
way in uDig.
While usually wind flow has two vectors, in the case of a map of
flowdirections I have just 8 values that represent the 8 cells around
the current considered cell.

Is it possible to achieve the same rendering mode with one single map,
considered that the single values can be split in the two direction
vectors if necessary? could this be done somehow in the sld to get
that fine rendering.

Ex. (considering 1 being the most eastern cell)
1 = 90 deg azimuth = vertical 0, horizontal 1
2 = 45 deg azimuth = vertical 1, horizontal 1
3 = 0 deg azimuth = vertical 1, horizontal 0
4 = 275 deg azimuth = vertical 1, horizontal -1
.. and so on

Thanks for any help,
Andrea
