Made a fix on master:
https://github.com/geotools/geotools/commit/f86554817446e0eaed0e0b8e8b8287e7f8b022c4

Haven't backported on the stable series as I don't have time to double
check with a large-ish
amount of different maps right now (modifying the renderer is always
tricky, tests are difficult
to setup since each platform/jdk renders stuff in a slightly different
way...).
