Hi Gabriella,
from a cursory look at the code, in particular the test class
MultithreadedHttpTestClient, it seems like the only way to do that is to
create a subclass of MultithreadedHttpClient in the same package (
org.geotools.data.ows) and override its package private createHttpClient
method... it's a bit of a hack, but it should work :-)
The clean solution would be to write your own MultithreadedHttpClient
implementation, shouldn't be too hard.
Maybe other people can provide better advice.
