Set CRS to 27200
Zoom to Wellington
Click on WMS button
Add Chart NZ 4634.
Zoom in to approx area of Pt Howard.
If error has not yet occurred, continue
Add Chart NZ 4632 (will be offscreen)
Zoom out.
If error has not yet occurred, continue alter zoom.
Second time error occurs, background map also disappears, leaving white screen.

Mavenized reproducible example and proposed patch has been prepared and
submitted to geotools' bug tracker.
Any chance this will be included in the next 15.x build? If not we will have to
