But you'll have to make sure the Oracle online tests are still passing after making that change, in particular at least OracleDateOnlineTest and the various OracleTimeZone... ones. To run them from your IDE you'll have to add the JDBC driver in your classpath, running them the first time will generate a sample connection config file in $home/.geotools/oracle.properties.example, rename it to oracle.properties and adjust the connection params, at that point the test should be able to run instead of being skipped.
